The IDDEAL Software Suite® integrates information from your specific user defined examination programs to facilitate ease and efficiency in organizing, scheduling and tracking of all inspection and examination work.
This integrated Data Management program provides simplified input methods and multi-functional management and tracking features that will create a value added, cost effective system for all of your Engineering and Inspection needs. The Iddeal
Software Suite® of products includes the following modules: CertWorks®, EquipWorks®, FACWorks®, IDDEAL®,
ScheduleWorks®, and SnubbWorks®.
CertWorks®
CertWorks was developed as a database tool for nuclear power
generation plants to manage the inspection certifications of personnel.
These certifications include NDE, QA, QC, PDI, or customized requirements.
CertWorks contains numerous built-in and customizable reports. In
addition to certifications, CertWorks can track experience, training,
education, and miscellaneous details for company employees and temporary
contractors. CertWorks interfaces directly with Iddeal for outage
planning and to enforce the integrity of examiner requirements on
inspections performed.
EquipWorks®
EquipWorks was developed as a database tool for nuclear power generation plants
to manage the equipment and consumables used to perform NDE inspections
on components. Equipment manufacturers, serial numbers, calibration
dates, expiration dates, etc. are entered into the database and
enforced on the inspection reports for a defined scope of work.
EquipWorks interfaces directly with Iddeal for outage planning and
to enforce the integrity of equipment documentation to minimize
errors and save time.
Flow Accelerated Corrosion - FACWorks®
FAC was developed as a database tool for nuclear power generation
plants to manage flow accelerated corrosion (erosion/corrosion)
inspection work scopes and produce the various reports to document
compliance and completion in accordance with the various codes and
standards that regulate the nuclear inspection industry. This would
include organizing a predetermined FAC workscope, managing the workcope
in terms of assigning components to inspectors, and scheduling the
work in a logical sequence, and producing all of the documentation
necessary to show procedure compliance. Additionally, an interface
is available to directly download inspection data files from the
various common commercially available ultrasonic thickness gauges
such as the Panametrics 26DL Plus, 36DL Plus, and KrautKramer DMS.
IDDEAL®
Iddeal was developed as a database tool for nuclear power generation
plants to manage NDE inspection work scopes and produce the various
reports to document compliance and completion in accordance with
the various codes and standards that regulate the nuclear inspection
industry. Iddeal contains numerous tools to save time and money
by preplanning work and enforcing the integrity of the examinations
by interfacing with other modules of the Iddeal Software Suite.
Iddeal is the core production database of the Iddeal Software Suite
and is typically used and installed on 5-20 workstations at a facility
encompassing numerous people in different jobs and responsibilities.
Iddeal was designed to accept a scope of work that was created in
ScheduleWorks or allow creation of a scope of work in the Balance
of Plant module. Iddeal would use pre determined procedures, certified
personnel, equipment, and scheduled events to manage those workscopes
and produce the code compliant documentation.
ScheduleWorks®
ScheduleWorks was developed as a database tool for nuclear power generation plants
to manage ten-year interval ISI examination schedules and historical
data for nuclear components that require inspections in accordance
with ASME codes and plant operating procedures. ScheduleWorks will
produce reports that calculate code compliance against one or more
editions of the ASME sec XI code or customized utility specific
requirements. It was also intended to give end users the flexibility
to develop and implement Code Cases, Owner Elected Codes and Augmented
Codes in much the same way. It was never intended as a program to
enforce the ASME code. The functions of this program were developed
based on input from ISI engineers throughout the nuclear industry.
There are many philosophical differences within the industry as
to how the ASME code should be applied. We have attempted to provide
the flexibility within the program to allow ISI personnel to use
ScheduleWorks to accomplish tasks based on their own individual
needs.
SnubbWorks®
SnubbWorks was developed as a database tool for nuclear power generation plants
to manage the inspection and service life monitoring of snubbers.
SnubbWorks may operate as an integrated, or stand-alone platform,
either with a single user PC based system or an advanced multi-user
LAN / WAN system. The user is able to customize each inspection
requirement by defining engineering and inspection parameters, then
create inspection plans, store inspection and related data, and
instantly produce inspection, management and status accounting reports.
This includes comprehensive scheduling abilities for technical specification
visual inspections, initial and expanded functional test requirements,
repair and rebuilding of snubbers, and service life monitoring.
These are combined with a dynamic link to a multi file viewer which
will display associated P&ID, isometric and component as-built
drawings.
In addition, the IDDEAL Software Suite® and associated modules are:
- Designed for Year 2000 compliance and use on advanced multi-user LAN systems.
- Built on the 32 bit Microsoft® Access/Visual Basic platform that can operate in a Windows® NT, Windows® 95, 98, 2000 or Novell NetWare (or similar compatible) environment (Version 6.0).
- All modules in the IDDEAL Software Suite® Version 6.0 were developed in Microsoft® Access97 and Visual Basic 6.0 (ADO). All modules are designed for Windows® 98, NT 4.0 or 2000 Microsoft® operating systems and can be run concurrently with Microsoft® Office97 or Microsoft® Office2000. See specific system requirements in the user manuals.
- All modules in the IDDEAL Software Suite® Version 7.0 have been developed in a 32 bit Microsoft® Access XP and Visual Basic 6.0 (ADO) platform. All modules are designed for Microsoft® Windows® 2000 and Windows® XP Professional operating systems and Microsoft® Office 2000 or Microsoft® Office XP Professional. See specific system requirements in the user manuals.
- Conform to general site standards for LAN integrated software, Microsoft® products for Database, Spreadsheet, Word Processing, Electronic Mail, Graphics, etc., with certain site-specific modifications.
- Be accessible to the specified number of users on any standard site workstation connected to the LAN.
- Able to output hard copy reports to standard HP printer configurations.
Typical Installation and Configuration:
- Iddeal is a multi-user network program that can share data on a network or be configured for a local workstation. Network and local workstation parameters other than those listed in the system requirements may require a customized installation and configuration. The speed and efficiency at which Iddeal will run is entirely dependent on the speed of the network, the local workstation, and the amount of concurrent users of the program at any one time. See utility specific instructions that accompany the CD-ROM for step by step installation instructions.

- Hard disk/Server space requirements are approximately 25 Megabytes of free disk space. As your database grows, you will need additional disk space for your data files and should allow for additional space requirements when selecting the disk drives on which to install your program.
- Local Workstation Installation
The Iddeal® program files and data files may reside on a local workstation or the network server. Every workstation that is to have access to the Iddeal® program will require a client library installation and startup program. Once the Iddeal® libraries have been installed to a workstation, the data and program directory can be moved to a shared directory on a network for simultaneous multi-user access. It is not necessary to run any installation on the server.
- Network Installation
The data source and program files will be required on the network for multi-user access. All users and workstations desiring access to the Iddeal® Software Suite will require the appropriate permissions to the Iddeal® folder. It is not necessary to run any installation on the server. Utilities using third party application launchers and universal drive letter assignments may require additional programming and/or custom installations beyond the scope of this proposal.
